The Net Holds Vigil
On October 4, 2026 we remember Jette, Buddy, Schmotzer, Aiko, Eddy, and all other victims of animal cruelty.
The minute of silence has begun. 🕯️
For those who had no voice
On October 4, 2026, the net holds vigil.
We remember Jette, Buddy, Schmotzer, Aiko, Eddy, and all animals who were abused, tormented, neglected, abandoned, or killed.
We also remember those whose names never became publicly known. Animals whose suffering took place behind closed doors. Those whose cries for help no one heard, and for whom every help came too late.
This vigil is not a competition and not a promotional event. It belongs to the animals.
People from all over Germany are invited to set a joint sign on World Animal Day.
A candle cannot undo their suffering. But it shows that they are not forgotten.
Central vigil in Saarbrücken
Alongside the nationwide digital vigil, Existiert.org is also planning a central memorial gathering in Saarbrücken. The location and schedule will be announced in good time.
